Granville Island Brewing

Yes, beer and cycling go hand in hand. Actually, beer goes well with anything. I received this jersey as a parting gift from my co-workers when I left Seattle to relocate East. Granville Island Brewing is located on Granville Island, very close to downtown Vancouver, BC.(thanks Doug). Sugoi teamed up with them and came up with some pretty cool graphics. Two regrets are that the jersey is too large and I never had a chance to drink some of that Gastown Amber! For a larger view click on the photo.Brewery LINK.

Wonder if it's available in Michigan or Indiana although it's gotta be better from the source!

The original Granville Island Brewery is located on Granville Island, very close to downtown Vancouver, not on Vancouver Island. (I live about 2 km from Granville Island.) I think they still use that brewery for small lots, R&D, and, of course, marketing; but most of the beer is now made in Kelowna, a couple of hundred km inland.

Good beer. One of the original BC micro-breweries.

Another interesting tie-in to the name of Gastown Amber and cycling is that the Gastown Grand-Prix is a long-standing Pro/1/2 crit race held in another part of downtown Vancouver every July.

Good info Doug. The Grand Prix would be a good excuse to get out to BC and ride, or spectate. Heck, I would be happy just doing the brewery tour.
