Iron Horse Classic elevation profile

I came across this elevation profile of the route from Durango to Silverton, CO. I like to think of myself as a good climber but the Coal Bank and Molas Pass inclines look like a challenge. I'm geeked! Click on the map for a detailed view.

How early are you going out to get adjusted to the altitude? 11,000 is nothing to sneeze at!

Since I won't have the luxury to fully acclimate over a 2-3 week period I will plan to arrive a day or 2 before and jump right in.
